The weirder the fact, the more I like it

My teacher in Career Development says that a fact is ones own truth. That nothing is a fact until you decide to believe it. Facts come from ones own experiences or from ones own mind wanting to believe. That everything you read and hear are just opinions. It might be that persons own truth. A fact to them. To you though, it is just a thought or an opinion. With proof, one is trying to pursue you to believe in their truth. To make it a fact in your own self.

If these are facts, opinions, truths, thoughts, or whatever.. They are still pretty interesting and weird.

You choose to make it your own truth.. I am not here to pursue you.. Just to give you some information you probable don't even need.. Enjoy!!


1. Fortune cookies were actually invented in America, not China!

 2. The reason firehouses have circular stairways is from the days when the fire engines were pulled by horses. The horses were stabled on the ground floor and soon figured out how to walk up straight staircases. The reason they have Dalmatians is to keep guard of the horses. 

 3.Men buy an average of 3.4 pairs of underwear in a year.
(not my man, I buy him new underwear!)

 4. If you can see a rainbow you must have your back to the sun. If you don't, you can't see it. The only way to see a complete, full circle, rainbow is to be flying (or falling).  Otherwise whatever you’re standing on will cast a shadow that will cut off the bottom of the circle.  A rainbow is an angle-dependent illusion.  They don’t actually exist anywhere, they just appear to.

5. Jet lag was once called boat lag, back before jets existed.

6. Men leave their hotel rooms cleaner than women do.
(I actually agree with this, a man barley takes anything out of his suitcase)

7. Months that begin on a Sunday will always have a Friday 13th

8. Most Americans' car horns beep in the key of F

9. Oak trees do not have acorns until they are fifty years old

10. Pearls melt in vinegar

11. Every person has a unique tongue print

12. The 'vintage date' on a bottle of wine indicates the year the grapes were picked, not the year of bottling

13. In Bangladesh, kids as young as 15 can be jailed for cheating on their finals

Now here are some weird facts and laws for Tennessee
(again, fact or not a fact, still interesting..)

• It is a crime to share your Netflix password in Tennessee.
• You can’t shoot any game other than whales from a moving automobile.
