Im not trying to look like you

It is 1:40 am in the morning. I am sleepy. But I wanted to finish this stupid little "first grade" poem. It is first grade because everyother line rhymes.

Dear Bootcamp Trainer,

I know you like to work us hard
I have to admit, I like it too
But my arms are shaking
my legs are burning
and I am not trying to look like you

All that I am asking is
a flat tummy, tight butt, and no arm flab
if you could make these things happen
I would be extremely glad

You said it would get easier but little did I know
that easy means hard and hard means harder
and mr trainer, thats fo sho!

I know you like to work us hard
I have to admit, I like it too
But my arms are shaking
my legs are burning
and I am not trying to look like you

You have us do these crazy pushups
with our hand on a slider
but I have come to realize
I was not born to be this type of glider

the tire is too heavy
then you say I have to flip it
and I am supposed to use my legs and butt
but with what am I supposed to grip it

the lunges, oh the lunges
I know they are for my own good
but the butt they are going to give me
I better stay away from the hood

I know you like to work us hard
I have to admit, I like it too
But my arms are shaking
my legs are burning
and I am not trying to look like you

jumping rope, jumping jacks, jumping mats, jumping hoops
they are just not for me
I am not a jumper
just wait and watch and then you will see

the weights I use are 5 pounds
and you always say I should use more
but if you were my arms, back, or legs
you would understand that the 5s make me sore

You have all these random things
like the bike races and the bands
and the way you make us use them
on our knees, feet, stomach and hands

Some moves make me feel awkward
and some moves make me want to cry
but I signed up for this bootcamp
and I am begining to think WHY

I know you like to work us hard
I have to admit, I like it too
But my arms are shaking
my legs are burning
and I am not trying to look like you

And then the lights will dim
and the music starts to slow down
you tell us to get ready for stretching
but my butt is already on the ground

I love the stretching at the end
I love the feeling after, this is true
but again mr bootcamp trainer
Im not trying to look like you
