Yea Mom, it looks like that here too

I am sitting here bored, waiting on my Husband to get home still. (it has been 13 hours now that he has been at work..) Anyways.. I am reading my Mom's blog and I look over to the right of me because I know exactly what she is talking about!

Yea Mom, it looks like that here too!!

Colored tape? OF COURSE

The most organzied/cleanest part of her craft table is this below

This is a ring pop holder thing taped to the desk. She takes EVERYTHING and "recycles" it. I have to hide things going into the trash because she wants to "use it for crafts"

My favorite part, the crayon taped to the string which is taped to the desk.
I guess incase it gets lots in that mess!

DIY Halloween Decor!!

Today I actually made my first Halloween decoration! I decided I was not going to decorate much for Halloween and instead I am going to decorate for Fall. I found this awesome wreath thing on Pinterest that I wanted to recreate in Fall colors. They had used Christmas colors. I did not have Fall colored paper but I did have Halloween paper.. I love love love my wreath!
Check it out, and it was super easy!

What you need: 8 to 10 pieces of 12 X 12 paper (or 8 X 8)
glue and stapler
paper slicer

Cut the paper in half with the paper slicer

Pinch one end of the paper and glue it together

It should look like this at the other end

staple three papers together at the pinched end

repeat this over and over
staple or glue the top edges together to get rid of the gap in between
it will get hard to staple the pinched part but keep on

The middle will not nicely go together, that is alright as long as the outside edges fit together nicely

add a center piece to cover up the ugly middle
(all I had was my chicas foam pumpkin and some stickers)

Then hang in house or on door!

I am soooo doing this for every Holiday.
I will hang it in my house once I get the actual door wreath made that I am about to start working on.

With smaller paper, a small one would be cute in my chicas room!

Glow On!

So today, after shopping for myself, I went shopping for Mady's under the sea party. While at the dollar store, I ran across glow sticks. This reminded me of... can you guess... PINTEREST.. I saw a cool thing with glows ticks and mason jars! So, I grabbed a glow stick pack and to the homestead I headed.

I took a knife and sliced the end off. Then placed my finger over the hole and broke the glow stick up. Next I dumped the glow stick into the jar and went looking for a dark room..

I wonder how long it will glow?

Total cost, (I already had the mason jar)  $1.00

D.I.M For August

D.I.M  = Doing it myself..
you know, instead of DIY do it yourself..

Anyways.. Pinterest is amazing. I must say it again. Pinterest is amazing. I already have almost my entire house built (the plans for what I want .. not the actual house) So when the time comes.. It is waiting! I have my Chica's birthday party already planned. Food and Decor. I also have quotes that will help me get through the rest of my life. There are ideas for organizing and decorating. All this said, I have a board for DIM AUGUST. A board is a "place" you save your things to. I have so many things saved and so many things I want to do, I didn't know where to start. So I decided to make a board just for August. Achivable!

So.. The plan for August is:

I already have the frames, background paper, and the dry erase markers for this. I just need some printer ink or my best friends beautiful hand writing skills

I love this. I am always looking for ways to hang towels all pretty. Rolled up towels remind me of my Mimi's house. So now, time to go buy a pretty wine rack and pretty new towels!

This I have. Except mine is ugly, white, and doesn't have pretty knobs. This I am going to do ASAP. They used wallpaper but I am thinking scrap paper will be great!

I can not wait to do this! I have the chair. Now I just have to get the fabric and paint. EASY

I found this interesting. I am not sure how well it will work. It is an old cleaners tub thing. (mine will be the empty Clorox container that is larger than this) The put pretty paper around it and
the purpose of it is.. .. ..  plastic bag holder. I have tons of plastic bags and they are so aggravating storing them. Again, not sure how well it will work but Ill give it a shot and let you know

This is just simply smart.

Ill post my crafts as I do them/after they are done and let you know what I think!
