We love summer

This summer has been one the hotest summers I can remember. We set a record high of how many days we stayed above 90 degrees. We even broke 100 degrees a few times. Thank goodness for Kristens back yard. It has the best summer things. A baby pool, big pool, playground, shade, furniture, and a cabana. Kristen, being my best friend, lets Madyson and I enjoy her back yard even if she isnt there. So on this summer day, Mady and I decided the pool was calling out names! We have been over there to swim many times but on this day it just felt a little extra special.

This is what we call the baby pool. It sprays water out of the dolphins mouth but of course Mady isn't big on getting water on her face so we don't use that part. At least we are saving water!

She loves the slide, mainly because she can climb up it herself. She is so cute in her bathing suite and her hair pulled up!

This makes me laugh every time I see it. Like I said, water in the face is not her favorite thing but it doesn't stop her.

Madyson isn't nomally this brave, but today was a special day! She decided that it was time to take a chance..

Mady; Maybe we shouldn't go on our tummy

Me; I think it looked fun

Mady; Maybe you should do it for me

Me; I am too big

Mady; I am too little and the water will 'pash in my eyes

So my little Chica sits int he deep side, lays her head back and lets her feet float. The she says "Mommy, I just wish I could lay here every day" I tell her I wish the same but we can't. She says "we can today" and she lays there for a long long time.

And our day ended with a little sillyness
