D.I.M For August

you know, instead of DIY do it yourself..

Anyways.. Pinterest is amazing. I must say it again. Pinterest is amazing. I already have almost my entire house built (the plans for what I want .. not the actual house) So when the time comes.. It is waiting! I have my Chica's birthday party already planned. Food and Decor. I also have quotes that will help me get through the rest of my life. There are ideas for organizing and decorating. All this said, I have a board for DIM AUGUST. A board is a "place" you save your things to. I have so many things saved and so many things I want to do, I didn't know where to start. So I decided to make a board just for August. Achivable!

So.. The plan for August is:

I already have the frames, background paper, and the dry erase markers for this. I just need some printer ink or my best friends beautiful hand writing skills

I love this. I am always looking for ways to hang towels all pretty. Rolled up towels remind me of my Mimi's house. So now, time to go buy a pretty wine rack and pretty new towels!

This I have. Except mine is ugly, white, and doesn't have pretty knobs. This I am going to do ASAP. They used wallpaper but I am thinking scrap paper will be great!

I can not wait to do this! I have the chair. Now I just have to get the fabric and paint. EASY

I found this interesting. I am not sure how well it will work. It is an old cleaners tub thing. (mine will be the empty Clorox container that is larger than this) The put pretty paper around it and

the purpose of it is.. .. ..  plastic bag holder. I have tons of plastic bags and they are so aggravating storing them. Again, not sure how well it will work but Ill give it a shot and let you know

This is just simply smart.

She is beautiful. She is smart. She is amazing. She is sweet. She is loud. She is healthy. She is playful. She is giving. She is wild. She is funny. She is messy. She is talented. She is so grown up. She giggles. She sings. She plays. She hugs me. She knows my name. She looks just like her mom 80% of the time. She looks like her dad 20% of the time. She has my heart. She loves to dress up. She loves movies. She loves me. She is my daughter's best friend. She jumps all the time. She laughs at everything. She loves to twirl. She has beautiful blue eyes. She twist her hair on her finger. She is the best colorer I have ever met. She is skinny. She loves books. She has curly hair like her Aunt Sonja. She loves mac and cheese. She loves fruit and veggies. She holds my hand. She is one of my most favorite things/person/time spent with in the entire world. My life would not be the same at all without her in it. I miss her daily. I think about her daily. I talk about her daily. I wish I could see her daily. I LOVE HER DAILY. She is MY God-Daughter.

Not sure if it was worth it yet.

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
Let me think about this one... Oh I know.. We got a new car! Yes, yes indeed we got a new car! A 2007 335I BMW Black Twin Turbo with only 50,000 miles. Oh how I love this car! We got rid of the durango (got that loan paid off) Got rid of the truck (came out even on owe and trade in) so all in all this was the best position we could have been in as far as loans, cars, and timing. School starts in 1 month from today.. freeing up some money was a goal.. This goal was a success!

The Bad
Nothing really bad this week. Well, my husband is still no unpacked from the beach. I could unpack for him but I have not. My bad.. I think Ill go do that in a few mins.

The Thankfulness
I am thankful for the the opportunities that God give me and my family. Everything from my schooling that I am about to start to Zak's job that allows me not to work. Opportunities come in all sizes. Big and small... short and long.. and if we do not take the opportunity that God has given, we may never know what could have been. It is better to live saying ooppss than to say what if!

I love you through and through

My favorite book of all time is I love you through and through. I read this to Madyson multiple times a week. I have read this every since she was itty bitty. There is something about this book that makes my heart melt. The words are perfect in every way. If you do not own this book, GO GET IT! Please!!

No Words

I have no words. This is unlike me. Having no words confuses me. My mood has been different. I think I am tired. My sentences are short. My thoughts are minimum. My questions don't exist. Strange thing though...

My creative side is still here. My ideas are constant. Inspiration has begun. Photographs are still everyday.

I think this means that blogging will have to be put on a back burner for a day, week, or month. Until my words come back.

This is not BAD NEWS.. because I am going to start back scrapping. Digital Scrapping. Photoshop is has been calling my name.

Ideas have taken over my words.

I don't think the words will come back until the creative ideas, the "crafty" side of me is set free..

This is not goodbye blogger.. it is just...

The Good The Bad The Thankfulness

The Good
I am back at my bootcamp. I love it so much. I honestly have to say that it is the BEST "me" time I could possibly have! I actually have a muscle in my biceps that is hard! Like hard to where you cant squeeze it into mush!! I am so excited! The next 4 weeks are going to make such a huge difference! I think I should start taking pictures every 4 weeks to see before and afters.

Oh, and I decided (with the help of little chica) what we will do to celebrate her 4th birthday party. It is going to be "under the sea"

The Bad
The bad for this week. I did not clean. I had time to clean. I had time to unpack the husbands stuff from vacation but, I didn't. I really didn't do anything around the house. Enough said

The Thankfulness
I am thankful for the friendships I have. I see/hear/know of some groups of friends.. girls and guys.. and they have a type of friendship with their friends I just don't understand. I do not have many super close best friends but the ones I do, they are amazing!
I have to give some shoutouts: Kristen, Lauren, and Sonja: yall three girls are everything to me.. I can talk to yall about anything and everything. You always put things in a new light for me if needed. My world would be empty without yall. The good times out weight the bad times more than I think we realize or understand. To us it is normal to have a trusting amazing honest friendship but the reality of it is, we are lucky and blessed. Friends like yall don't come along often! Kayla and Kelsey: I love you two dearly! It is wonderful to know I will have bestfriends in my life forever and ever regardless of if we like each other or not. I am so thankful that yall are my sisters! I can not wait to grow old with you two! Jason, Blake, and Josh.. having you three guys makes my life interesting. I know that I could call yall for anything if need be. Yall are not the typical asshole boys, Yall are amazing guys with true hearts. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of yalls "soft" side! bahaha.. Yall each have a soft side that I am apart of.. just admit it! Zak is my best friend to but of course I am thankful for him..

Eww Fly, Don't Bother Me!

I hate flies. I HATE THEM. I am that crazy lady you see running around her house with a nasty fly.. Unlike my chica and her games she plays with the flies, I do not find fun in it at all! The thing I hate about flies other than how NASTY they are. Germs.. Ugly.. Just EWW.. Is they seem to know who hate them and they seem to know when you are after them.

I hate when the fly right at you because you have a flyswatter, or a book, or a rag, or whate ever is in your reach to kill that darn thing. They see it and they go crazy! This just gets me going. I will NOT let a fly win EVER! Well, as I was sitting here about to get on blogger of course, I hear it coming. BUZZ loud and mad sounding. About 20 mins before, I had killed one of two in my kitchen. This must have been a friend of the other fly because I am telling you it was MAD. I would have been on a mission to get a person if they killed my friend with a swatter in the matter of seconds so I can't blame the thing. 

So this fly decides it would be smart if it flew to my window. When a fly is on a window, its a done deal. What it is about a window that the fly can not seem to fly away from I don't know but the window is on my side! I grab my notebook, put in on a page so that I dont hit it with the cute cover and BAM BAM SWAT .. The fly goes down. Then I noticed something moving. Its legs were on the other side.. I look closer. EWW I wanted to PUKE. Maggots, Fly Larva.. whatever they are called they started coming out of this fly. I gagged. Then I wanted to take a picture. Then I gagged again. I could only handle one picture.. EWW

The Good, Bad, & Thankfulness

I have been on vacation since June 30th. At the beach might I add and I did not have the time or desire to do my weekly blog. So although it is Monday, this is for last week



The Good
This is super easy. The good is I spent an entire week with my husband and my chica at the beach. Eating seafood, swimming, making sand castles, and watching fireworks was our daily routine. One really good thing is that I got to spend some time with my Grandparents. Even though I have not spoken to my dad or heard from him at all in over 8 years, his parents mean the world to me! I was such a pleasure being around them and watching them with their great granddaughter. My Gigi (Grandpa) enjoys Zak so much, I think he is the grandson he never had. I will miss the seafood, swimming, sand castles, and fireworks.. but most o all I will miss my Meemaw and Gigi.  Everything about the past week was good!


The Bad
Let me start off by saying I have been waiting a year... an entire year.. to go to Florida for a few reasons. One being for the seafood. We have Red lobster here but that is it. When I am asked what I want for dinner, the answer is always seafood. In TN seafood is expensive. (It is expensive in FL too) So getting to the bad.. I ate. I ate fried, greasy, fatty, calorie filled, extra cheesy, and anything in between! I ate like it didn't matter. I ate knowing all the hard work I have done since April could be thrown our the window. I didn't care. THAT is bad. Good news, I didn't gain ANY weight!

The Thankfulness
I am so thankful for the fact that I have such a wonderful family. My mom is amazing to Me, Zak, and Mady. The time she spends with us and puts into our family. I love her for! My husband got to take a well deserved 9 day vacation with us and I can not even begin to say how thankful I am for that! My grandparents are still going strong! Fishing, shopping, and being their normal funny life filled self's. I am thankful I am able to see them for at least a week out of every summer. I am thankful for such a wonderful little chica. She is such a pleasure and fills my heart with such pure happiness.

Mainly, I am just thankful for my life, family, and friends. I am so thankful for the amazing vacation I just had! I am thankful for St Augustine Florida!

Closet room turned Craft Room.. D.I.M

D.I.M = Did It Myself!!

Right before I went on vacation (which was amazing by the way) I got a kick in me saying that I needed a change. A change to my house. Well, thats just what I did! I turned the 3rd bedroom..aka.. my closet room.. into a Craft Room. It is now time for the big reveal.  Mind you that this is just mid way done. Details are still needed and a few major things are going to be done.. You will get the idea though!!  

Before it was used for my closet and computer room. You know for blogging and throwing my clothes on the futon..I actually spent a lot of time in this room. Notice the details because they are about to change..

Ok, Moving on.. Time to clean out the room...

So where did all the stuff go you ask?

To Mady's room (since she was gone for the week) If she would have known her room looked like this, Little miss... "I have to clean my room before bed" girl would NOT have been happy!

Top closet looks pretty stuffed but it is all organized

After everything was out, it was time for the carpet removal.. I knew there was hardwood underneath all of the carpet in our house, but I had no idea what kind of shape it would be in..

WHY??  Why would someone paint random spots on perfectly great hardwood. I don't understand.. Now I have to figure out what to do. Any Ideas?

Hundreds of nails I had to pull out of the hardwood. It made me rethink doing the living room! 

Desk building time.. And he has some skills!

Desk up.. now for paint

Thank you Josh Longbrook with NorthStarSoulutions! He is my nephew and does great paint jobs. Check out his website for everything he offers. Tree removal, paint in and outside, construction jobs such as decks!

I stained the desk black. Right now it is just stained but we are going to pour this clear stuff on it, I forgot what it is called, that will not only make it smooth but clean off easy too.

Now small details..

This cost me $3. It is eye burners and a candle holder from the $ store. I ended up buying a nice one with baskets for my side of the desk but this works perfect for Madyson's stuff. Yo will see it on the desk in the revealing pictures.

Above, the cabinet will not have the doors and I will be adding the roman shade. Click here for the details that I got my ideas from and still have to finish up in the room.

Below is just cute paper from the dollar store. I want to say there is 40 in each pack.

Notice above the pull our for the keyboard. We took that off the old desk. I need to paint it but Ill get to that later this week..  Also, I am not showing the other sides of the room since they are not done. You only get the reveal of the desk wall..  Floors are not finished, cabinet is not finished, storage under desk is not finished, and other small details are not finished. BUT.. it is use able.. and a huge difference! The sign above the window says, I love you to the moon and back. That is what Mady and I say to each other!

By the way, I am in LOVE with it!
