The good, bad, and thankfulness

The Good

There is a bit of good in my life right now. Zak’s work is going great. I am doing wonderful in school. Most important though, Madyson is learning to read. Like READ READ. Check out this post about her reading. It is amazing. I mean, she is amazing so what should I expect right? Other good, I am loving Dental Science. I think I maybe should be a scientist. Not really because I do not want to do all that school {at this point in my life} but for real. I think I could be a scientist who researches, test, you know, finds cures for Cancer..

The Bad

ooooo.. This is not a good one. I have slacked for 2 weeks now on “being healthy”. Not good, not good, not good at all! Now that I wrote it out and feel all guilty and ashamed, guess that means in the morning I will be back to water water water and healthy food..

The Thankfulness
I am thankful for healing. Whatever the healing is for or about. If we could not heal, how would we go on? This is physical, mental, spiritual, and so on. People need to heal. Our body needs to be able to heal or it would not be able to get us through the day. Our mind needs to be able to heal to tell our body what to do. Our heart has to heal to be able to control our head that tells our body what to do. Our spirit needs to heal to be able to allow our heart to control our head that tells our body what to do.. You know, the ankle bone is connected to the leg bone..  AnYwAyS, healing, no matter how big or small, is how we become who we are, do what we do, believe what we believe, and know what we know..

The good, bad, and thankfulness

I have not done the good, bad, and thankfulness since December 15th. oh, my, gosh. (Mady says that now and I love it) so this one will be a little longer than usual.

The Good

School is back in session. This is good because I enjoy school. I am still doing great. My dental science class might be hard, but I love science. My teacher is sporadic but I do enjoy her most the time.

The holidays are over.. just kidding, this is not good.. but kind of good. I enjoy the holidays filled with family and to-do list a mile long. I also enjoy the boring life with to-do list half a mile long.

Zak has been getting home at a decent hour lately and isn't working many weekends. This should be under thankfulness. I was missing him there for a while.

I am sleeping. More to come in a future post about sleeping.

I am eating great and am currently the lightest I have been in at least a year and half.(don’t you like how I put that? I can’t say smallest because I still do not fill small and really being small isn’t a goal of mine.. my shape won’t look good small)

My hair is long. I just have to put that in here because I just noticed walking to the computer that my hair is long. I love it long. It is pretty. I actually got stopped at school by a lady just for her to tell me how pretty my hair is and I looked like Pocahontas (I had it in pigtails)

The Bad

There isn’t really anything bad going on. Umm.. I have not exercised everyday like I want to. That isn’t good so it must be bad. Mady and Zak are both sick still.. Going on week 3 or 4. (I lost count) with head colds.

The Thankfulness
I am thankful for my in-laws! Zak’s parents just celebrated 37 years of marriage! That is amazing and wonderful! I am thankful to have such wonderful, loving, patient, and giving in-laws! They are not just a role model to Zak and I, but to Mady also. Not maybe people I know can say they have been married that long. They have been by each other’s side through the amazing, good, bad, and awful times of their life! I couldn’t not have been more blessed to have them become part of my life!

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
School is over!
Presentations, papers, finals, and classes.. it is all over! I get a 1 month break! yipee!

The Bad
I am sick and Zak is sick. We have never been sick at the same time in the past 6 years.

The Thankfulness
I am thankful that so far, the weather has not been toooo bad. I want a white Christmas but that is it. I do not want coldness at all. Winter doesn't actually start until December 22nd this year. I pray to God that we have a mild mild winter. Today, it got up to 60 degrees! Stay that way winter! I want it to be 60 degrees all winter. I like spring, fall, summer, and winter isn't on my like list.

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
School is almost over. We have a 1 month break. Next quarter consist of Dental Science (which is actually A&P from the next up), Math (uugghhh.. I wish hope it is just like adding and subtracting), and Emergency Procedures. Tuesday and Thursday are the first classes and on Fridays is my 4 hours Emergency class. Good thing is, I will be getting home 2 hours earlier than I do now. Bad thing, I have to be there 2 hours earlier than I do now.

The Bad
I am no longer eating like the mom on No Ordinary Family. This is a good thing.. but the bad, I am still slacking. Something about the Holidays, being cold, and sushi. Golly geez I love some sushi. I just can not help myself. Actually, I help my self right to it, and the soy sauce. This has to stop. All my hard for for months and months, down the drain. Well, not really.. I have not gained but 5 pounds back. BUT.. I am not loosing the pounds plus I had to stop work out class for a while (school payment is more important than workout class) I am just going to be "goodish" for the month of December, not stress on it, and then December 26th.. back to the daily meals pre packed.. dandelion root water.. working out (at my home gym)

The Thankfulness
Thankful for my brain. I am super proud of my school grades.. still a 4.0 .. Today I got my first non 100 in Psychology but it is ok.. I got 5 extra points so that makes it a 99. The 99 is the lowest grade I have in that class. yep yep.. :)  I am thankful that my brain has decided it likes to learn and that it is able to learn. I am thankful that I can take test now. For the first time in my life, that I can remember, I actually know the answers because my brain absorbed the information. Thank you brain, for being smart!!

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
This weekend I stayed up till 2 am (nothing new) doing a project for Medical Law that I believed was due this Thursday. It isn't.. it is due next Thursday. Why is this good? Because I finished it.. a week early. Mark one thing off my huge list to do for school in the next 2/3 weeks! whoop whoop!

The Bad
I have eaten like I have the metabolism of the mom of No Ordinary Family. It is a show on netflix.. great show by the way, check it out! The mom has super powers (they all do) and she can run super fast which gives her a super super high metabolism and she has to eat a ton to keep her energy up.  There is a little good to this though, although I have slacked.. again I have s.l.a.c.k.e.d, for the past 2 months, especially the past 2 weeks, I am back on track as of yesterday. No more soda, little starch, eating breakfast, drinking water, and sooooo on. BoRiNg, I know! Remind you me, Hawaii trip will be here in 7 months, better get a move on for this bikini body to be happening!

The Thankfulness
Considering it was a Holiday week last week. Thanksgiving, Birthdays, even Black Friday.. I have to say I am thankful for my family.

In psychology today, we talked about "fake" people. We all know that one person that says Heeyy, how are you doing? We should get together soon but they don't really mean it. And you are thinking Heeyy, I am great, I see you are still fake.. no, I don't want to get together ever..  so in this class discussion, someone said that family members are like this too. The teacher says yes, we all have that one family member that we hope isn't at our family functions. Everyone agreed. EVERYONE except me. I was the only one that didn't raise my hand. I love everyone in my family (that is in my life. I do not consider them family if they are not in my life) Everyone that could possibly show up, I want to show up! In-laws included.

I am thankful that I married into a large family who loves everyone. Really, they all love each other. It is kind of amazing really.. if you think about how family's function now a days. Seeing how each of them can love each of them in a positive, welcoming, honest way.. it is something to be thankful for! You should check them out yourself. We are available for show every holiday..   :)

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
I have cooked a ton of new food! Eggplant fries, Stuffed peppers, soups, and more. The good is that I nailed everyone of them.

The Bad
I have not done my homework for Tuesday's class. I usually do not wait this long to do it. I like to have all homework for the next week done by Sunday. (unless I have to study for a test.. then I study all week... or if I have a project.. that is an every day till the last day kind of thing) Which brings me to my final project in Med Law. It is due Dec 15th and I am stressing over it because I can not figure out a topic. Ill decide by next weekend though I'm sure.

The Thankfulness
My working Husband. My Husbands work. I am bless to have a hard working Husband who works for a company that has work for him to do.. ::and treats him good::: As I am sitting here writing this, my husband has been at work since 9 am this morning. It is now 10:38 pm. AND today is Saturday. This doesn't happen often, working on a Saturday for this long but working 12-14 hours.. yea, that happens. I miss him. I am thankful that his job continues to bring in work for him to do. Without him, without his job.. I would not be in school right now. Now don't think because I am in school and not working that he is having to work these hours to support us. He would be working these hours regardless of what I am doing. He just has that much work to do. Which is good considering the people that don't have jobs.. again, I MISS HIM.. he deserves a long back rub tonight for sure though! Dinner is waiting (has been since 7 pm since I didn't know it would take this long) and Mady and I are making Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast served to him in the bed as a surprise. The little things to show I am thankful for him!

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
This is good, really really good.. My GPA as of right now, in the middle of my second quarter.. a 4.0! yep!! I'm smart! and it isn't like I am taking easy classes right now. Lets put it this way. Psychology, everyone had to retake the "big" test in groups to get extra credit points added to their "so low" test grades. I mean like failing test grades. Me? yep.. I made a 100  :)   I have made 100 on everything in that entire class.. be proud, I know I am!  Med Law: Hard class! both test so far 95s .. homework and study guides 100 (hints back to the awesome test grade) and then there are the projects.. we have 4 projects.. if we fail one, we fail the class. We have 3 chances to redo the projects. The teacher was not happy with the end results. She has to pick the projects (papers) apart and they are a required assignment from who ever is above the school. We have only done 1 project and I made.. a 100  :)  I have a mid quarter grade of a 98 in that class! Be proud, I know I am. Then there is my favorite class.. Dental Introduction. (I love the teacher, who happens to be the Program Director) well, homework.. 100s .. test.. 100s.  So, there you have it. I AM SMART! (this is something I have never ever in my entire life felt before.. I kinda like it)

The Bad
nothing bad.. not even a dirty house.
oh, I skipped class this week.. that is kind of bad.. but its all good :)

The Thankfulness
I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to send Mady to private school. I have visited 2 of them so far and am in the middle of figuring out what would be best for her. Not everyone is able to send their child to private school.. this, I am soo thankful for!

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
I have not actually looked at my current GPA but.. last quarter I made 100s on every single thing. This semester I have made 100 on everything in every class except one test in Med Law. The good thing is, I made a 95 and this past Friday I got 5 extra credit points to go to any grade I want. I am putting it on that 95 grade.. sooo.. The Good is.. I still have 100 on everything in every class for last quarter and this quarter.. I'd have to say, my GPA is prob. pretty good at this point!
The Bad
I have not worked out in 1 month. I had to stop working out due to schedule and I needed that money for school. I also have slipped with the eating habits. I can feel my muscles loosening up. I can feel the not so healthy food in my body.. this is bad.. soo.. Monday morning, it all begins back. Working out at home though. I have the time and the equipment so it wont be a problem. Eating is going back to the healthy meal plans. From morning to dinner. 5 to 6 times a day.. This is a bad that will turn into to a good..

The Thankfulness
I am thankful to have a sister. I have been spending some time with here and after not having her around for a few years.. I really am learning that a sister is a best friend. I enjoy her. I understand her (for the most part) I am thankful that Mady has her as an Aunt. I am thankful for you Kayla!!!!  ily!

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
I don't know if this is good or bad or to be thankful for. I am busy every single weekend (most weekends on Friday night and Saturday night) until the 2nd weekend of December. Really, I have never been so dang busy.. that is not including Holidays from now until New Years Eve. That is just busy weekends. That is not including school. Just social/family/friend stuff. It is good though because it will make the rest of this year fly by. I can count down the year by weekends. It is bad because I don't feel like I have time for anything else AND I don't know if this year passing by this fast is good or not. I am just going to stay positive about it all, it is all good things going on! Things I am excited about. Memories in the making!
The Bad
I can not stand one of my teachers. She can not read the words she is trying to teach us. She can not understand the words that are coming out of my mouth.. (ok.. ok.. I just had to say it.. "Friday") Really though.. for example... Today- She asked us who did or at least looked over the study guide. Out of 16 people, I was one of 3 that not only looked at it but finished it.. The long, dumb, confusing study guide. So, she asked us to define a word. I spoke up and read my definition. She looked at me and said.. "ok, now what does that mean?" after a long pause, a little giggle from behind me prob from the I'm not sure face I was giving the teacher, she asked again. "Can anyone tell me what that means. Put it in your own words.." again, pause.. from everyone. (Simply put, the definition is what it meant) so she stands there, looks at us me like duh.. and then tells us The exact answer, word for word, what I just read to her. Umm.. really? Then she ask us if we understand. What I don't understand is her teaching skills technique. Moving on, she asked if we have any other questions.. Of course, I do.. because I did the study guide.. I ask her exactly another question. She says, ok.. Ill give yall one question from the actual test.. (it is the question referring to what I am asking about) she ask the class true or false, blah blah blah.. we all say true.. she looks at us like duh.. I thought she meant duh like correct.. nope... it was false.. the entire class would have said true.. Then she says, I want yall to know more than the definition.. So the next question she ask.. I give her more than the definition.. then she says, you don't really need to know all of that, just know a few words of what the "word" means. (now, isn't that a definition? a few words that the "word" means?) at this point I give up.. I do not ask or answer anymore questions.. Before we leave class, she says, you all have to get an A.. it makes me sad when I grade papers that are not an A, it brings me to tears.. Well Teacher (not using her name because I do not think she is a bad person, she may teach other subjects well.. just not this one.. not for me at least) but anyways.. Teacher, it bring me to a throbbing headache when I spend hours and hours on your long stupid confusing study guide.. then, it brings me to even more headache when you don't like my correct answers. After all is said, I only have 15 more classes with this teacher (at least for this class) and I am going to do everything in my power to ace her test! Even if I leave with a pounding headache!

The Thankfulness
Life.. just simply life.. being alive.. ability to love .. have hope.. and feel joy. Thank you God for life

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
This is again about school. The good great thing is I ACED all my classes! Ok, so I only had two classes and they were both very easy BUT it is a wonderful way to start off this adventure. I am proud.. and I only missed one class due to weather after Labor Day. Who wants to drive in flooded streets after 9 inches of rain in just 24 hours.. yea.. NOT THIS GIRL! Say a little prayer about winter though because I do not like to drive on ice either. Luckily my classes start at 10:30 this winter semester.
The Bad
Oh the bad.. ok so Friday was supposed to be my cheat day. I switched it to Saturday except it ended up starting Friday night and well, today.. Sunday night.. it has ended. I had a 48 hour cheat. Boo on me! Jumping back on the wagon in the a.m. but oh how that popcorn shrimp was good!

The Thankfulness
I am thankful for my mom. Not because she is cool, caring, and beautiful.. no . no. (at least that isn't what I am thankful for right now.. cause she is always cool a dork, caring, and beautiful) but today I am thankful that she is an amazing photographer! I get to capture moments of my chica all the time from my own wonderful skills  :)  but I have free family photos.. for the rest of my life. ::::Mom, if you start charging me.. I'll pay you in chap stick/lip gloss and I'll just raid Kayla's purse for them:::: Really though, what an amazing talent to have in your own family. Photos mean so much to me and I LOVE having photo shoots!! Today's photo shoot will be posted in the next week or two. THANKS MOM!

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
I am now accepted into Miller Motte as a student! For the first 28 days students are on "probation". They watch your grades, attendance, and teacher reviews. If you miss 4 days your kicked out. There are a few other ways to be kicked out as well. I just missed one class due to the floods from Labor day.  So, like I said, I am not a true student! This is good.. very good!

The Bad
This is going to be really bad when you read it. Mady's birthday presents are still downstairs under the sea. Her birthday party was Aug. 15th, an under the sea theme. I have not cleaned the downstairs or brought her toys upstairs. We go downstairs and play with them so it isnt like she doesnt get them, just have been busy/lazy/busy and not had a chance to make room for them in her bedroom yet. In fact, when I get off here, I am going to clean her room so she can have her new toys upstairs.. bad.. I know!

The Thankfulness
I am thankful for the health of my family. It seems as though there are a bunch of people getting "bad news" from the doctor. I found out I have highblood pressure about 2 months ago. I am on meds for it. Other than that, I am healthy! Zak and Mady are healthy as well. So many things can go wrong at any point with any persons health. For now though, we are good to go. How can I not be thankful for that?! :::saying prayers for those who need better health:::

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
The good this week.. We didn't have school today. That was GOOD. An old friend came in town. It is another friends wedding this weekend so all of us girls got together last night. It is always good to see an old friend or get together with a group of friends that don't get together often. This weekend is Casey's wedding. I love weddings. Maybe it is because I love being married. Maybe I just love to see a person commit in front of God, family, and friends. It just reminds me of why and what I meant when I said I DO. I am very excited to celebrate love this weekend!

The Bad
I have miss bootcamp. Every day this weekend. Monday, I had school stuff.. exam to study for, speech to write, and so on. Tuesday, I just didn't want to go honestly. Wednesday, I had a little bridal shower and get together with some good old friends. Tonight, I just said.. heck if I am going to be a slacker.. then tonight Ill slack. Really I didn't go tonight so that I would have an entire week already paid for that I get to make up. excuses Excuses EXCUSES.. o well.. Monday we start a 21 day tummy makeover challenge. more to come on that next week!! Stay tuned to see how I do!

The Thankfulness
My daughter. I am so thankful for my daughter. Although it has been 4 years since she was born, I still honestly look at her and can't wrap my head around the fact of having her forever. Mine! Not anyone elses. Am I the only one that stares at their child and thinks, I made that with a little help. I made that, I love that, I get to keep that. (that being my chica of course) I really do stare at her. At how amazingly beautiful she is. Really.. look at my pictures of her, she is amazingly beautiful. If you could only know her, the ones that do know her would agree, she is so smart! Then there is her humor. OMG. You have no idea the things this child comes up with. Kids say the darnest things?! My chica says the funniest, mind blowing, out of nowhere, complicated, interesting things! She is amazing in every way possible. Why can't I be as cool as her?!

Most people say, I like other people's kids because I can give them back. I like my kid because I can't give her back. Really. She is that cool that I want her forever. 4 years old already. I miss her being little. It makes me sad. Nothing really makes me sad but her growing up.. her being 4.. makes me sad. I am thankful she is 4. She is healthy and happy. What more can a mom ask for from a four year old. (other than to clean your room, say please, brush your teeth, clean your room, say thank you, put your shoes away, say yes mam, get dressed, and please clean your room)

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
I am in school! Yes, I am in school! after 6 years of no schooling, I take that back, after 6 years of not being in an actual class room.. I am now in my second week of school. This is good. Really good. I waited so long! Everything happens for a reason though!

The Bad
Humm. This is hard. Oh! I spent to much money this past weekend. The brew fest was fun! Don't get me wrong, I would do it all again! The night before I was out celebrating my brother in laws birthday (which cost money going out of course) and then the following night was Brew fest. TOO MUCH MONEY SPENT! Good thing we get paid this week.

The Thankfulness
I am so greatly thankful for the opportunity to go back to school. Thankful that financially we are able. Thankful that my mom can keep my chica while I am in school. Thankful that it is actually here. I am excited. Thankful that I have the motivation and confident that I am going to rock it!

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
This week is huge for me. It is a week of celebration. A week to thank God for so much. It is my anniversary week. It is my daughters birthday week. On 8.12.08 Madyson Jade was born. Tomorrow, she will be 4 (if you cant do the math). On 8.09.08 I married my best friend. As of today, we have been married 3 years and 2 days. The good is that Zak and I have such an amazing relationship. Over the past year we have grown closer to each other and to God. We have realized that our relationship would not be if it was not for God and that it can only grow stronger if we live by God's word of a relationship. Now, we are not perfect. I still  like to be in control and "bossy" but I am learning to step back. I am learning to let my Husband be the Husband God wants him to be. Not the one I WANT him to be.  Mady is the most amazing little girl. I have never loved anything in my life the way I love her. It blow my mind that tomorrow she will be 4 years old.

The Bad
Oh the bad.. oh the bad.. being that this week is a celebration week. It also means it is a spending week. Money Money Money. I know we do not have to spend money on Mady to make her happy. I also feel that if we are able to, why not. It is not promised that we will always be able to spend on her presents and party. I also skipped a day of working out to take Mady birthday shopping. That is bad and good depending on how you look at it.

The Thankfulness
Thankful. This week there is so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for a healthy soon to be 4 year old. I am thankful for the person she is and the person she is becoming. I am thankful for my husband who stands by me in everything, holding my hand regardless. I am thankful for myself. Myself being a wonderful mom and wife. I love being a mom and wife. I love my life. I am thankful for God. If it was not for him, I would not have the life that I love.

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

The Good
Let me think about this one... Oh I know.. We got a new car! Yes, yes indeed we got a new car! A 2007 335I BMW Black Twin Turbo with only 50,000 miles. Oh how I love this car! We got rid of the durango (got that loan paid off) Got rid of the truck (came out even on owe and trade in) so all in all this was the best position we could have been in as far as loans, cars, and timing. School starts in 1 month from today.. freeing up some money was a goal.. This goal was a success!

The Bad
Nothing really bad this week. Well, my husband is still no unpacked from the beach. I could unpack for him but I have not. My bad.. I think Ill go do that in a few mins.

The Thankfulness
I am thankful for the the opportunities that God give me and my family. Everything from my schooling that I am about to start to Zak's job that allows me not to work. Opportunities come in all sizes. Big and small... short and long.. and if we do not take the opportunity that God has given, we may never know what could have been. It is better to live saying ooppss than to say what if!

The Good The Bad The Thankfulness

The Good
I am back at my bootcamp. I love it so much. I honestly have to say that it is the BEST "me" time I could possibly have! I actually have a muscle in my biceps that is hard! Like hard to where you cant squeeze it into mush!! I am so excited! The next 4 weeks are going to make such a huge difference! I think I should start taking pictures every 4 weeks to see before and afters.

Oh, and I decided (with the help of little chica) what we will do to celebrate her 4th birthday party. It is going to be "under the sea"
Details, Ideas, and Updates will soon follow!

The Bad
The bad for this week. I did not clean. I had time to clean. I had time to unpack the husbands stuff from vacation but, I didn't. I really didn't do anything around the house. Enough said

The Thankfulness
I am thankful for the friendships I have. I see/hear/know of some groups of friends.. girls and guys.. and they have a type of friendship with their friends I just don't understand. I do not have many super close best friends but the ones I do, they are amazing!
I have to give some shoutouts: Kristen, Lauren, and Sonja: yall three girls are everything to me.. I can talk to yall about anything and everything. You always put things in a new light for me if needed. My world would be empty without yall. The good times out weight the bad times more than I think we realize or understand. To us it is normal to have a trusting amazing honest friendship but the reality of it is, we are lucky and blessed. Friends like yall don't come along often! Kayla and Kelsey: I love you two dearly! It is wonderful to know I will have bestfriends in my life forever and ever regardless of if we like each other or not. I am so thankful that yall are my sisters! I can not wait to grow old with you two! Jason, Blake, and Josh.. having you three guys makes my life interesting. I know that I could call yall for anything if need be. Yall are not the typical asshole boys, Yall are amazing guys with true hearts. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of yalls "soft" side! bahaha.. Yall each have a soft side that I am apart of.. just admit it! Zak is my best friend to but of course I am thankful for him..

The Good, Bad, & Thankfulness

I have been on vacation since June 30th. At the beach might I add and I did not have the time or desire to do my weekly blog. So although it is Monday, this is for last week

The Good
This is super easy. The good is I spent an entire week with my husband and my chica at the beach. Eating seafood, swimming, making sand castles, and watching fireworks was our daily routine. One really good thing is that I got to spend some time with my Grandparents. Even though I have not spoken to my dad or heard from him at all in over 8 years, his parents mean the world to me! I was such a pleasure being around them and watching them with their great granddaughter. My Gigi (Grandpa) enjoys Zak so much, I think he is the grandson he never had. I will miss the seafood, swimming, sand castles, and fireworks.. but most o all I will miss my Meemaw and Gigi.  Everything about the past week was good!

The Bad
Let me start off by saying I have been waiting a year... an entire year.. to go to Florida for a few reasons. One being for the seafood. We have Red lobster here but that is it. When I am asked what I want for dinner, the answer is always seafood. In TN seafood is expensive. (It is expensive in FL too) So getting to the bad.. I ate. I ate fried, greasy, fatty, calorie filled, extra cheesy, and anything in between! I ate like it didn't matter. I ate knowing all the hard work I have done since April could be thrown our the window. I didn't care. THAT is bad. Good news, I didn't gain ANY weight!

The Thankfulness
I am so thankful for the fact that I have such a wonderful family. My mom is amazing to Me, Zak, and Mady. The time she spends with us and puts into our family. I love her for! My husband got to take a well deserved 9 day vacation with us and I can not even begin to say how thankful I am for that! My grandparents are still going strong! Fishing, shopping, and being their normal funny life filled self's. I am thankful I am able to see them for at least a week out of every summer. I am thankful for such a wonderful little chica. She is such a pleasure and fills my heart with such pure happiness.

Mainly, I am just thankful for my life, family, and friends. I am so thankful for the amazing vacation I just had! I am thankful for St Augustine Florida!

The Good, Bad, & Thankfulness

The Good
I did some extra organzing this week. Including Zak's "room" (which is really his side of the bed in our bedroom) That was a task I have been avoiding since... oh.... since we moved into this house last April! Clothes are hung, folded, and put away. Drawers are cleaned out (even wiped out with a rag) and I fixed the closet door that was stuck!

The Bad
I have not been going to bed on time at all. I made a committment to myself to try and be in bed around 10:30 and to be asleep by midnight. This week I do not think I went to bed before 12 and stayed up until at least 2 every night. I feel it in my head and eyes. I am sleepy! Staying up late again, stops tonight! I am going to read a book and go to bed.. The End!

The Thankfulness
I am thankful for my Grandfather making it out of surgery last week. He is doing well and so far everything is looking good. He is in pain I am sure but he is the strongest man I know spiritually and mentally. Prayers can still be used though!

p.s. Prayer
Please pray that Zak gets to go to the beach with Mady and I next week. He has been planning and waiting since last summer. Some things happen at work and he might not be able to go with us.. I need him to go take a vacation that he deserves!

The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness

I have been looking for a weekly subject to write about for awhile now. I have tried the Friday Five. I have tried looking up subject. I have tried survey type ideas. NOW I HAVE IT. I was sitting on my couch thinking and the saying: The good, the bad, the ugly.. came to my head. I don't want to write about 1 positive and 2 negatives SO I changed it! The Good, The Bad, The Thankfulness! I love it!

The goal is to write about one thing for each topic each week. So, lets begin!!

The Good
I am on my second week of bootcamp (work out bootcamp, not Army) I am feeling it in my arms, legs, abs, chest, and anywhere else I have muscle. I love it. It isn't the first time I have done this boot camp, but it is the first time in 2 years. I forgot how hard it is. I forgot how hurt it is. I forgot how I love it! It is called Scenic City Adventure Boot Camp. Right now you can do a 2 free week trial. It is just like it says. It is a personal trainer but with a group. You do get one on one, you do get constant attention and working out. I am looking forward to week 3 because I think I will see much improvement!

The Bad
I have not really cooked a good meal all week. I cooked some Tortilla Soup in the crock pot but that was as far as I got in the kitchen. No new recipes. This will change as of tomorrow since I have my meal plan ready!

The Thankfulness
I am very thankful for my chica being so easy. She has been potty trained since she was 2 1/2 and it went great from day one. She has been sleeping in pull ups at night though until recently. She wanted to wear panties to bed. I let her, knowing she would have accidents. But as of last night, she has been 10 days with no accident in her bed and no pull ups! I am thankful for that but more proud than anything! (I do take her on a midnight potty trip every night though, but that is my commitment to her so that she can still take water to bed with her.. she deserves it!)

p.s. Prayer
I want to make a special request for tomorrow and after. My grandpa is having lung surgery tomorrow morning and if you could please say an extra prayer for him while in surgery and out. Let him heal quickly and easily. Let the surgery be successful. Let him be strong and in good spirits. I look up to him and the love he has in his heart. He deserves the best prayers you can give!
