{Plane Ride} Hawaii

Friday night we left around 5:00 for ATL. Because our flight was leaving from the ATL airport early, we decided to stay in ATL Friday night. K, M, Z, and I all shared a hotel room and did not end up going to sleep till after midnight. 5:00am came early for a little chica.

I was slightly nervous about the plane ride. It being Mady’s first flight didn’t really bother me because I knew she would be content with all of us or her ipad. She did amazing on both flights to Hawaii. When I asked her if she liked driving or flying better and why, she said

“I like flying. That way I can hang out with you and Dad and yall don’t have to drive”

The views were amazing and the clouds were breath taking. Our first flight was about 4 hours long {I may be wrong on this, if so.. ill change it} we flew into Denver. –beautiful beautiful Colorado.. {only seen from a plane}

After an hour or so in Denver, we boarded the flight to Maui Hawaii!

From July 7th to July 13th, we were in….

MAUI HAWAII!!

10 of us went. Mom, Bob, K, Z, M, T, J, B, R, and Myself. It was beautiful. Everything I could think of times 100. The weather was awesome, the company was wonderful, and the house was AmAzInG.. most importantly, the memories were perfect. Memories that will be remember forever. Experiences with each other that I wouldn’t change. Mady isn’t the only one that had a week full of first. Zak and I had a ton of firsts together! Like, a kiss in Maui.. a tattoo in Maui.. Parasailing.. a Luau.. the list goes on!

I am going to post about Hawaii by day.. there are a ton of pictures and so many things I want to write about, it could turn into a short chapter book. Posting by day will help you follow along and also keep the days straight for us when we look back in a few years.

 

So, to start..

you see Lahaina up above? we stayed slightly east of the State park right below Lahaina. I am going to find a better map and photoshop a star to point out exactly where we were but this will give you an idea for now.

Me- they are all dead. its called extinct

Mady- :::with a really sad tone::: oh, I really want to see one alive

Me- oh, no.. they are all dead.. and alligator is pretty close to a dino

Mady- no, they are to little

Me- well, an elephant is big

Mady- but it isn’t tall

Me- giraffes are tall

Mady- but they are not long

Me- oh.. I don’t know then..

3 days later:

While watching a movie (instead of having nap time)

Mady- mom, are mermaids real?

Me- no

Mady- :::in a really sad tone::: I wanted to see one

Me- you did?

Mady- yea, I have been waiting my WHOLE LIFE to see one

Me- me too Mady.. me too!

Happy 4th of July!

This is not my 4th of July post {which will not be done until I am back from HAWAII} but I did just have to share this little so she says moment

 

I love 4th of July but I am use to spending it in Florida.. on the beach.. with all day to do whatever festiveness creations I come up with.. I was a little slacking on the ideas this year until ::wait for it:: this morning.. THE morning OF.

so while scrolling through Pinterest with Zak and Mady sitting right beside me, we found some food, drinks, and more food that we decided we would make.

Of course we all had on red/white/blue outfits for the day but that just didn’t feel like enough. We picked out 2 foods and 1 drink to make. Then I thought.. I really don’t need to spend the money on this food stuff when we are leaving for vacation in a few days. Lets take the drink out and just make 1 food. When I told Mady this is how the convo went:

Me- Mady, lets pick one food to make instead of both

Mady- nooooo.. we have to do both

Me- but we don’t need to do both

Mady- (getting upset) we have to

Me- hey.. there is no need to cry about this

Mady- {really upset} but its AMERICA and your not listening (not as in I am practicing my freedom of speech and your not listening.. but as in.. TODAY is AMERICA (about America) and your not listening to how important it is to do both foods)

This is one of those moments where I place myself behind her, out of her view.. seal my lips tight because I am about to burst into laughter.. She is so darn cute!

Needless to say we bought both foods and the drink stuff. It was a great day and I will post about it in a week or so!

Mady- yea, I suppose you’d rather me not whine about

Example:

Me- Hey Chica, do you want fruit with your dinner?

Mady- I suppose that will work

Example:

While reading the “itinerary” for Hawaii (which we leave in 2 days for) she asked what a free day means.

Mady- what is a free day?

Zak- a day we don’t have anything to do and we can do whatever we want

Mady- Mom?

Me- yea.. (in another room)

Mady- do you suppose we could have a free day this week and do whatever I want to do all day long?

{she loves her new headphones. funny thing.. she doesn’t realize that we can not hear the music she is singing along with.. All we hear is HER.. it is THE FUNNIEST THING EVER}

On another note. Have u ever had a dream where you were mad or hurt by someone and when you woke up you still felt mad or sad all day. That happens to me and it happened last night. I dreamed that my I sister in law blamed me for getting in a fight with the guy who was installing my mother in laws tv in her new house. The guy left and she told everyone it was my fault. I got upset and left. There are more detailed details to this but the point is I feel mad and sad today about her blaming me. I know it was a dream but I want to look at her and say it wasn't my fault!!! Weird dreams!!
