Do they have size 8 bowling shoes?

Today marks the first time that Madyson went bowling. While I was at work today, her and Zak talked about things to do this afternoon. When he was giving options, bowling was one of them. BOWLING she says! All day she wanted to go bowling. After asking Lauren and Jason to join, I got real excited about going! I have not been bowling in FOREVER! After work, I went home, took a shower, got ready, got Mady ready, and off we went. She kept saying how she was "soo esited" .

I have never been bowling with a little kid before. I kept wondering... do they have a size 8 in bowling shoes for toddlers? I don't really want her to wear some shoe with other peoples feet in it. Then again, it would be just another toddler whos feet have been in them. Do little kids have "funky" feet. Guess what, THEY DO have toddler sized bowling shoes. And, they have to wear them.

We all helped her bowl. I told her not to step over the line. Of course this made her want to step over soooo bad. She kept looking at it every time she went up to it. She did real good. A few very very slow pushes down the aisle but all in all, good job Mady!

Watching the ball roll down. And BAM they hit the pins!

Even though it is blurry, you can see she is sad about the pics she hit. If you look behind her though, she did good. She hit a few pins.

Dancing with LaLa and swinging the ball 1.2.3. with dad were her favorite parts of the night

By the end of the 2nd game, she was over it! She played every turn though. All she really wanted to do was play in the arcade. I don't know why I didn't take pics of her playing the games, but we ended up with 294 tickets! WOO HOO.. The picture below is the ending scores. Top to bottom the order went, Traci, Lauren, Madyson, Jason, and Zak. Yes.. I did not beat Mady by much. The 2nd round it was 50 her.. 53 me. I need to practice!

Our night ended with some prized from the arcade
and a "we have to do that again mommy"

Day 18 - A picture of your biggest insecurity

Day 18 - A picture of your biggest insecurity

ha. Now why would I do this? Why would I put up a picture of what I am insecure about? My blog makes me feel good. Not, oh hey remember when you hated this about you (I say that in past tense because you I can always change what I am insecure about)

We are just going to skip this picture of the day

Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently

Day 17 -
A picture of something that has
made a huge impact on your life recently

This was hard. A few things have made an impact on my life. I chose to put a picture of my blog  blog header (since I can not take a picture of my blog) It has made an impact on my life because 1. I actually do something I feel is productive 2. it helps me release my thoughts for the day 3. I love to write 4. I always know what ever I want to see or read and remember forever, I will always have it in cyber space (scary) . I enjoy writing and photographing my life.

Thank you blogspot!

Time for a post

So I have not posted anything in a while other than the 30 day picture challenge. Well, I figured it was now time for a new post. Things that have been going on:

Mady is back at preschool (as of last week) since the snow delayed that a week. She of course is loving it!

Job.. well it is going.. enough said

Got measured for bridesmaid dress coming in April

Mady tried on some flower girl dresses

Zak is working late.. almost every night.. it is good because he is making money but I miss him

BIG NEWS

Mady has begun reading. I don't remember if I already posted about this but pics and video are soon to come! I am very excited about this! She actually understands how to sound out words!! She doesn't always want to read or practice reading, but when she wants to.. she does very good! GENIUS I'm telling you!

She has also outgrown all 3T shirts. Her short little legs, high little butt crack, tall torso, normal/short arms are getting pretty hard to dress. The pants are either to big in the waste which results in the little plummer crack, the shirts are to short in length to cover it. Or, the pants are good in the waist but short in the ankles. Shirts are good in length but a little long in the arms. RESULT TO THIS..   buying 4 Little girls.. not 4T.. as in toddler, 4 little girls!! In the shirt.. and for pants going with 4T. Shorts and skirts (since it is now time to start buying for spring) still 3T. If length is not important and we are doing just waste then 3T is perfect. SOO, if you are buying for her in the next few months.....

Tops 4 Little Girls
Pants 4T
Shorts/Skirts 3T (anything bigger will be too long)

Day 13 - A picture of your current favorite band or artist

Day 13 -
A picture of your current favorite band or artist

I will always be a fan of Audioslave. Not only do I love their music, they remind me of "back in the day". They make me think about my husband (he introduced me to them years and years ago)

Right now I am all about some Nicki Minaj.
She exploded in the rap industry in 2010. Since Lil Kim or Missy E. there really has not be a female artist that writes and sings raps the way she does. She all of a sudden was on every song, all over the radio, and her cd, I LOVE IT! I love her hard rap songs to her soft r&b. She is a little crazy and explicit but shes in my cd player right now!

Day 12 - A picture of something you love

Day 12 -
A picture of something you love

Something I love..
Some THING I love..
Not a person?
Not a tv show?
Not a song?

SOME-THING..

Isn't it pretty? Oh, the things it can do!!
It is not techanlly mine. It is my moms, but it lives at my house, in my room, with me. This is SOMETHING I love for sure! (sorry about the blurry cam. pic of it) It captures everything in my life I need in one snap. 1,000 snaps. I am getting really good at it too. About time to take it to the next level and learn more about the settings and such. This THING, I LOVE.

Day 11 - A picture of something you hate

Day 11 -
A picture of something you hate

HATE? That is a strong word. To have such strong feelings about something, why would you have a picture of it? Something I hate is a lier. Picture of a lier? I could name a few people.. no picture. I hate cold weather! The only pictures I have of cold weather is the beautiful snow storm we had. That I loved. Humm, Oh I know what I can get a picture of that I HATE!!!!

YUCK! I can not stand a banana! The smell makes me gag and the taste makes me throw up! The thought of one makes me cringe. I have a 3 year old. She LOVES bananas. I buy them, and peel them, even touch them, I cut them, I hold my breath, I act like the "taste" good so she doesn't know any different. I HATE THEM!  Below is a pic that (I did not take myself) but it looked pretty cool . It is called 20,000 bananas.

Let's go sledding!

On to the mountain and through the woods, a sledding we would go. That is exactly what we did this past Sunday. The snow down here (stills ome on the ground in places) lasted a good 5 days. On the 6th day it began to melt. I knew that the mountain had more snow for a longer amount of time and when I found out my mom had a sled, that was all I needed to hear. So after work, we headed up. Snow clothes and all. Chica was already at her NuNu's house waiting on us. I have not gone sledding in years. I am talking YEARS. It was beautiful up there. Not to cold but just enough snow. Everyone on the mountain goes to the golf course to sled. It is tons of huge hills with no foot or car traffic. PERFECTION for sledding. That night, we were the only people on the entire golf course. It being a Sunday night, I guess everyone was getting ready for the week of reality to start back. AMAZING.. simply beautiful amazing snow.

The picture below is what I mean by amazingly beautiful snow

I am in LOVE with the picture above. What a beautiful daughter and handsome husband I have. (for the rest of my life)

Zak on left                   ....               Mom on right

That is me at the top of a huge hill that
I was scared to go down. I did it though

Our day ended with:
rosy cheeks and an adrenaline rush (for me at least)
