The funniest potty convo to date!

It is nap time. As always, before nap time you must potty! "It is silly to forget to potty" as she says almost every day. We just got home from a play date with Paxston and I had to go first, after I was done my silly little girl says with the most interesting look on her face..
Mady: "Mommy... don't flush it"
Me: "Why can't I flush it. You have to flush"
Mady: "Because I want to tinkle on your tinkles"
Me: "Ha, why would you want to do that"
Mady: "Because Mommy.. it will make your tinkles change"
Me: "Ok, go ahead"
So as happy as can be she scoots her little self up on the potty (all by her self now) and she goes potty
Mady: "I sure do have lots of tinkles"
Me: "It's from all that chocolate milk that you drank at Paxstons"
as she spreads her legs looking in to the potty
Mady: "MOMMY.. it did change, there's lots more tinkles"
She gets off the potty and look in like it is something she has never seen before. Then she looks back as me with that sad poked out lip

Mady: "But Mommy, it didn't change colors"
Me: "Well, it would only change if you mixed different colors"
As she laughs out loud,
Mady: "We have the same color tinkles! That's so silly"

Saying of the day: "Because I want to tinkle on your tinkles"

GOD WRITES IN THE CLOUDS

I am amazed, obsessed, fascinated, intrigued, in love, calmed, by the clouds. It is the way they move, their shape one min and another the next, how each day they look different. I love pink skies in the morning and at night. I love the white puffy clouds and the dark scary clouds. How do they change, how do they stay so high in the sky. How come I don't hear everyone talking about them. Am I one of a few that notice them? Why do people look at me crazy for stopping in awe. For taking pictures of them. They are crazy if they do not see the amazing beauty in them. God is good!

"All of us have a place in history. Mine is clouds."-Richard Brautigan

"Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky."-Rabindranath Tagore

THEY REALLY DO AMAZE ME. EVERY DAY EVERY CLOUD MAKES ME FEEL THE SAME. I THINK I EVEN SAY THE SAME THING TO WHOEVER I CALL TO LOOK OUTSIDE AT THEM. "DID YOU SEE THE CLOUDS TODAY? THEY ARE AMAZING.. GO LOOK"

YOU SHOULD TAKE A SECOND TO
GO LOOK AT THE CLOUD TODAY!

Half a Half a Century

These are my best friends Kristen and Lauren
It is Lauren's 25th Birthday (Blondie on left) I have known her since the 5th grade. Lets add that up. OK 5th grade to 12th grade is 8 years, then 6 years out of high school.. That is 14 years. WOW!! 14 years and she is still my beautiful kind best friend. I am blessed!
I think being 25 is awesome! Well, I'll be 25 in November, but it sounds like such a cool age. Old in some ways but yet young in most. I am so proud of her. She manages a wine distributing company, she graduated college, she has 2 amazing dogs (Bruno and Bella) and she has a great man in her life (Jason)
I am so lucky to have had her be in my life for this long. (and many more years!) She makes me laugh all the time.
This was a night to celebrate an amazing girl that has grown into beautiful sophisticated mature lady..
.. to say the least..HA

And these are some of the amazing people that helped celebrate this day! (we are missing pics of a few other people that were just as important. Blake and Tomi.. and some others)

And although she will kill me for putting this picture up. It explains how this night ended and it is rare to see her in... this state of mind..  It sure was a fun night with good drinks and wonderful company!

A short story of my silly little 3 year old

Madyson and I decided we would play outside for a little bit. As we got outside I realized I forgot my camera. I told her, Mady.. Stay on the porch, I will be right back. When I walk outside THIS is what I see.. What do you think she is doing?
HUMM.. there is not telling.. But I assume the obvious..
Mady, are you trying to climb the railing.. I don't think that is a good idea.. My silly little daughter says
"But Mommy, I not climbing it, I am just trying to kick the 'pider web" as if I should have known. DUH
(I can't figure out how to flip this pic. can you help me?)

Lets make a rainbow

Madyson and I were sitting outside listening to the birds, looking for bugs, and playing with leafs. The chalk was right next to us the entire time. My chica is so bright and silly. So, as we are playing Mady stops dead in her tracks, leaf in her had, and then her eyes get real big.. I could just see she had a though or an idea..

She says "Mommy, the chalk looks like a wainbow. Lets make a wainbow." Good observation I say. Then she responds "I notice things, I have good vision" (just yesterday, on the way to preschool, I had explained to her what the word observation means. - To notice something- then on the way to lunch with her Grandbob, I explained to her what vision means. -to see) Her brain AMAZES ME
So, she made a rainbow and she made sure to use all the colors.

Our day ended with a little bit of color
and 2 new words used in one sentence!

Lovin my pup

Molly Brown is now 6 months old. I am not really a dog person. Well that isn't true, I like dogs. I am not really a pet person. I don't mind other people's pets, prob becuase I can leave them. But when it comes to my own, I just never want  wanted any. 6 months later, I have to say I couldn't be happier with this pup. She was supposed to be big, but she isn't really. I know she is only 6 months but I do believe she is done growing in height. She will thickin out I know, but she isn't near as big as we were told she would be. She has the most beautiful brown colored coat. It has a red tint to it and just shines in the light. Her eyes are perfect. The brown/clear/yellow color is so pretty. I love her wet red nose. My favorite part of her looks is her ears. I love floppy ears.
She is a mut. We were told she is Lab mixed with Wimeriner. As she gets older, I still am unsure of what she is. Lab maybe.. Def some kind of retrevier. Wimeriner, I don't think so. Like I said, she is small. Prob about 30 pounds or so. I always look at her trying to figure out what she is. Everyone seems to have a different idea of what she has in her and why. I just say she is mixed with a little bit of everything. Hybrid.

Well, I was watching Unsolved Mysteries yesterday and they were doing a part on animals saving people's life. The 2nd story was about a dog named Oscar. Then they put up a picture of Oscar. He looked just like Molly Brown. Same color fur, eyes, nose, and chin. Ears were floppy just like Molly's. The only difference was that Oscar was much larger. Thinker and taller. Oscars fur was much curlier also. They said this dog was a Chestapeak Bay Retreiver. I now think I know some of what Molly Brown is! I now think she is Chestapeak Bay mixed with some type of hunting dog.( her built and tail points when interested in a smell)

I honestly am so thankful that we got Molly Brown. She is so cute, and sweet. For a puppy she listen's very well. She didn't start howling until about a month ago. Only a few times has she barked and that was when our neighbors were in the back yard. That makes me feel safe knowning she will bark at strangers. She is for the most part quite and calm, which for a puppy is unbelievable.

She looks sad in this picture, but I just love her little nose sticking through the gate.

Labor Day Celebration 2010

Labor Day is a special day. Not because it is a holiday, but becuase it is a day that Zak, Mady, and I can spend together doing "family things".  I had decided that we would get a kids movie for the morning and we would watch it in our bed. With Mady of course. She picked out TinkerBell. I love kid movies. I cooked english muffin, cheese, eggs, and yummy bacon. I cooked it all myself. OMG. I was so proud of myself becuase it turned out AMAZING. Way better than any resturaunt could have made it! I think I will add it to my list of "I can cook this" recipes! After the movie, breakfest, and a shower.. it was time to start the day. Off to the dollar general. We spend $50!! HOLY COW. What is sad is that we went to the dollar general instead of Walmart to save money. O well, we prob. would have spent more at walmart anyways. Now I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story of what we did on Labor Day..
Our outside adventure started with some bubbles

She loves bubbles! Notice the one on her knee.

Then it was time for a bug hunt, this soon turned into a
"lets see how many berries we can find hunt"

We did find a "pretty cool 'pider" and a Snail (minus the snail)

The grasshopper is the only bug we caught for the bug house.
Little did I know what would happen next...

Madyson was looking in the bug house and the top opened up just a little. That smart little grasshopper found his way to the top. Then all of a sudden, just when I look up BOING. Out jumps the grasshopper. At that very second, Madyson had seen it too. She screamed, tossed  chunked the bug house, and ran off crying. I could not help but laugh at the situation. She is so darn cute when she cries! Poor little girl, Smart little grasshopper!

After all was calmed down. We began our next adventure...

"  'Pashing in the water puddles"
Then my little chica says,
"Daddy, my hands are allll wet from the puddles you made, I think I just need to wipe them on you!"
So we are just sitting around on the stairs, playing with chalk. I am looking at some of my pictures I just took of her in the puddles and she looks at me, with her cute little face, and says..
"Mommy, ... maybe we can have a funny face photo shoot"
So we did..

She makes the most amazing funny faces! Then she looks at herself in the pictures and laughs sooooo hard! It makes my heart smile!
It is sunny outside but the rain boots are on and the umbrella is out.
Wonder what cool things we can do?

I love these! She says "Mommy, it is pretending to be rain!" I love the one of her running from it. Prob. one of my fav pics of the day.
Then she says "Mommy, it is a water limbo"

Next... Soccor! She was pretty good in the rain boots!
The picture below reminds me of my little sister Kayla. She use to play soccor and for some reason Madyson's face, legs, and body language just scream Kayla to me. Again, makes my heart smile!

She kicks the ball, she kicks it in, GOAL!
High Five Daddy
Best story of the day..
She wants to be the goaly, so she gets into position, squats down, and then she says... "Do it mommy, I just know you can do it!" What a wonderful goalleader (goaly + cheerleader)

She gets out the beach toys and I start to listen to the converstation she is having with these toys. and she says,
"Boat, would you like to ride in the wheelsbarrow with 'pider and pirate?" of course the boat answered "yea"
So they did just that...
Next it was time for "the big race"
(I think that quote came from Dora)
1....2....3...GOOO
We ended the outside adventure with a water gun fight. There are not many pictures of this becuase I had to put down the camera and join in on all the fun! It ended with wet hair, wet shoes, and wet clothes! What any amazing day!!
Our day ended with everything a little bit wet.
Quote of the day: "Mommy, it's petending to be rain"
