The day I married my best friend!

08-09-08
When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you will want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.  ~When Harry Met Sally

This was the most amazing day of my life. I have never felt so beautiful. I have never felt so cherished. I have never felt so excited. I have never felt so lucky. I was getting to marry my best friend. I was going to be spending the rest of my life with the man who made my world happy.

I knew from the start I wanted my hair down. Although I love love love bridal up-do styles, they are just not me. Long, Dark, Curls is what I asked for, and that is what I got!
This picture actually means a lot to me. My something blue and somthing old was a garter my grandmother passed down to me. I wore another garter for Z to throw, this one stayed with me the entire time. I love the fact that she put it on me

Lauren (maid of honor) was great. Picking up the moments that slipped past me. paying close attention to the details of my wedding. Helping with whatever needed to be done at whatever time it was when I asked her to do it. Listening to me go on and on about what I want for months.

The slight moments of details before the wedding stick with me like it was just yesterday. The smiles and laughter hiding and calming the nerves that made my stomach hurt.

I LOVED my dress! The back is the reason I chose it. I figured everyone would be sitting behind me and the back is what they would see the most. The rooshed (I have no idea how to spell that word) back that turned into lace. The lace closed with buttons. The simplicity of my dress with the tiny hints of classyness.

Although the room that I got dressed in was not very "picture pretty", the actual wedding was simply breath taking! My family, friends and I made it magazine pretty. I love daisys and I knew I wanted balls of flowers down the aisle. The lady who did my flowers couldn't have done a better job.

This is McKinzey my Flower Girl. I was a nanny for Kinzy and her 2 sisters for 2.5 years. She was perfect in my wedding and I was so blessed to have her there. I love this little girl like my own.

 The Groomsmen

When I first chose the location and where I would stand to get married, I imagined walking down the aisle, looking at my husband as the beautiful river and mountains acted as the backdrop. When I was actually walking down the aisle, hands shaking, heart beating, and a smile as big as ever.. I did not notice anything about the background. I just saw my Husband.
Time to kiss the bride!

Mr and Mrs Forever and Always. As you can see I was excited!

The best thing about having a sister in law that is also your best friend, you are never alone at family functions and you don't have to invite anyone! I couldn't have asked for a better blessing!

I love my mom! I am who I am today because of this AMAZING lady! I do not have the words, time, or space to explain how I feel about my mom. I want to be the mom she was to me! I would do anything in the world for her! She made this day my dream come true. She made my entire life worth everything! I LOVE HER

Bland meant so much to me when I was younger. He was a close family friend, my Youth Pastor, and a mentor. I was so happy he traveled so far just to marry Zak and I! THANK YOU BLAND

My heart smiles

My Grandparents. Above are my Mom's parents. They are exactly who I want to be when I look at the future of Zak and myself. The love they have and show to each other every day is amazing.

My Grandparents. Below of my Dad's parents. Although he and I have not spoken since I was 16, I am just as close to them as I ever was. The memories I have with them and continue to make mean the world to me. They hold a very special place in my heart.

Maid of Honor and Best Man,
They are also Mady's Godparents

G-G. R.I.P

This is Zak's grandma. I did not know her for long but I am thankful that she was able to be at our wedding. I love hearing stories from Zak's family about her and even though she was only in our life for a short amount of time, she loved Mady dearly. At the reception, she stood up and started dancing. It was priceless!

The Pictures below are just a few of my favorites!
(in no particular order)

Instead of a grooms cake, we did chocolate covered strawberries. I would like to say Thanks Blake for taking all the left overs home with you instead of sharing them with the Bride and Groom.

We had a candy bar at our wedding for guest to indulge in as their gift for attending.

Side note: none of these pictures are edited. I am working on getting them edited and color corrected.

WEDDING CAKE!!!  A little bit of information that most people didn't know. The cake was not what I ordered. What you see is what I wanted but the details, the up close details, they were not correct. Just a small minor detail that didn't go as planned but no worries! It was still pretty.
